San Francisco 415 Citrix Engineer
Will be responsible for managing the consolidation of Global Citrix Presentation Server 4 farm from legacy Metaframe environment. Troubleshoots various remote access problems. Integrates and updates applications into Citrix environment. Develops best practice procedures for Citrix design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support. Creates custom Web interface page for remote access users. Develops capacity planning model and provides reporting mechanism for all Citrix servers. Creates and modifies VB Script and ensures that common application functions in both Citrix and Desktop environment are in Sync. Provides 2nd and 3rd level remote access support. Assists infrastructure operations group with server buildouts. Assists Messaging and Collaboration group with Exchange-related tasks. Ensures client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include 1) University degree or combination of education and experience.
2) Excellent Customer Support experience;
3) Expert level knowledge and experience with thin client solutions (Terminal Server and/or Citrix Metaframe) ** CCA or CCEA is a plus;
4) Fundamental understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP;
5) Microsoft Exchange administration;
6) Must be willing to work with multiple levels of people providing 2nd level end user support to planning and engineering solutions;
7) Minimum of three years experience working as a MS Windows 200x/ NT 4.0 administrator;
8) Experience in deploying and supporting SSL appliances is desirable;
9) Experience with wireless messaging systems such as Blackberry and other mobile communication devices;
10) Excellent project management skills required;
11) Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with a team orientation;
12) Enterprise experience (over 1000+ users in multiple geographic locations) required.
13) Must be willing to participate in a 24x7 pager rotation involving both system notifications and 2nd level remote access issues and adhere to strict service level objectives;
14) Scripting or programming skills highly desirable;
15) Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively;
