Cisco Network Engineer Redwood City, CA

Analyze business requirements in order to design and implement an infrastructure solution using any or all of the following Cisco technologies: LAN routing & switching, wireless, VPN, firewall, N/HIDS, WAN circuits, SNMP, syslog, AAA services, BGP, HSRP/GLBP, multicast, IP CEF, QoS, VLANs, port channeling, ACS, VMS, Ciscoworks, 802.1D, 802.1w, and 802.3af.
Configure voice services on all Cisco LAN/WAN hardware including: 17xx, 26xx, 35xx, 45xx, 65xx.
Implement, operate, maintain, support, tune, perform capacity planning and systems engineering for all enterprise IP Telephony applications and associated network infrastructure, including Cisco Intelligent Contact Manager (ICM), Cisco Unity Voicemail and E911.
Administer VOIP ICM, UNITY, and E911 telecommunication systems as well as related network hardware and software, including design, installation, configuration, support, optimization and administration of associated corporate telecommunications systems and applications.
Resolve IP Telephony issues.
Resolve end-user and Telco 2nd and 3rd tier support for corporate and enterprise-wide telecommunication systems and applications, coordinate with vendors as necessary to identify issues & determine proper resolution.
Coordinate and manage Cisco IP Telephony installations, migrations and troubleshooting.
Function as a Technical Leader or Project Contributor on large and small scale projects.
Present and maintain a consistent professional image to customer and colleagues.
Mentor network team members.
Possess a customer/user - focused attitude. Provide technical expertise in a variety of areas.
Other Network Engineer services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration, and management of agency data and VoIP networks.
Document successful implementation techniques.

Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with IP Telephony systems, (Cisco Call Manager, Unified Messaging, Cisco CRS, and Call Center systems).
Experience designing and implementing Cisco Unity Voice Mail systems.
Experience configuring and implementing sophisticated call routing and contact management.
Experience configuring Cisco hardware 37XX, 450X, 650X, MCS7800 Servers, 79xx series IP phones, all associated voice gateway levels, WS-X6608, VG200, VG248 and associated modules such as VWIC, DSP farm, FXO, and FXS.
Detailed understanding of telecommunication practices as applicable to both traditional and VOIP configurations.
Self motivated personality with excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop rapport with clients and maintain strong working relationships, successfully manage customer expectations and project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.
Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Expert knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, servers, workstations, operating systems, and applications. Optimizes network design and ensures efficient and secure operation of all network systems.
Expert level WAN and traffic engineering experience.
Extensive experience with network maintenance including security services, load monitoring, system resiliency, back-up, and restore.
Mastery of advanced performance tuning and capacity management concepts.
Experience handling complex problems effectively. Identifies key issues and generates multiple solutions.
Thorough understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts.
Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation; understand client needs, identify root causes of problems, and develop and implement creative and pragmatic solutions.
Must have current Cisco data networking and IPT certifications.
Must be familiar with sales and project lifecycles from design to implementation.
