Senior UNIX/Network Administrator NYC 212
Extraordinarily intelligent and resourceful individual sought to provide UNIX and networking support, a highly successful investment and technology development firm. The person we hire will work with the highly-skilled 35-person IT systems staff and will be responsible for:
-Solaris and Linux related research projects
-Helping architect new technology for our fast-paced, high-growth environment
-Management and administration of over 1000 Linux and UNIX servers
-Management and administration of our state of the art global production network
The ideal candidate will have:
-A computer science or engineering degree
-Extensive knowledge of multiple UNIX operating systems
-Solid understanding of the IGP and EGP routing protocols
-Strong programming and scripting ability
-Excellent verbal and written skills
We are seeking an unusually well-qualified candidate, and are prepared to offer a highly attractive compensation package. While we strongly prefer candidates with both UNIX and networking expertise, exceptional candidates with only UNIX experience will also be considered.
